So no, 9/11 did not happen because we bombed a few places in Iraq. It happened because he didn't like us, because we stole his glory and his fame. Ron Paul's relevance to Bush? Bush said Iraq was harboring terrorists and had terrorist training camps, when everyone know good and well Saddam didn't want anything to do with terrorists. The purpose of Al-Qaeda was to topple the Saudi regime, not Iraq. They just used it as a vantage point to stage other attacks. How do you think they got so many Iraqi recruits... probably the embargo that killed thousands of children, and the bombing campaign, and the two invasions against them.
9/11 happened because of our support for Israel, for the dictatorial Saudi regime, for bombing a Muslim country, and having troops in the holiest land to Muslims, Saudi Arabia. We were a threat to his revolution because we support Saudi Arabia, and this is backed up by the 9/11 Commission Report, which I've heard of.
