Most overweight people I know have overweight parents, and despite how little they eat, and how much they exercise, they remain large like their parents. Now, do you think that obesity is curable by exercising and all that, or is it just a genetic trait?

I believe that you have to be able to shed off pounds by exercising and eating right, but if it does run in the family then it's bound to take a while longer. I also can't agree with liposuction, no matter how overweight and obese you may be. I'm not really sure, so let's get your opinions on the matter.
I believe the answer is both, obesity is inherited genetically, but if you eat healthy and exercise, you probably won't become fat. So I believe it's a combination of both nature and nurture.
I also believe it's both. I think people have genetic components that promote obesity, but most of the time it's just because people eat poorly.
Bad parents giving their fat kids more crap to eat...it's not genetic imho.

When you see fat parents feeding their kid McDonalds 4 times a week...you don't have to even wonder.
