Debateful

Many people have the tendency of living in the present and dealing with the present days aiming towards a better future. They believe that history plays no vital and essential role in our life simply because it's the past. However, I believe differently. We're able to plan for the future simply due to the past mistakes and success that had occurred. I think that history presented us with a better understanding of how we perceive certain aspects of life and situations; it teach us how to prevent certain mistakes from happening. For example, war strategies have been studied intensively so that future wars could be won more smoothly. Many leaders have read history and applied some of the previous tactics to the wars they've been involved in so that they could be more successful and end up as the victor. My U.S. History teacher taught me that one of the sole purpose of his class was to make the student become analytical thinkers and I think that I've been able to be one of them. I view certain aspects extremely thoroughly and try to find a better understanding of the way I perceive situations.

Numerous lives have been saved due to history! Some people learned from the past mistakes and made it so that certain mistakes wouldn't happen to them. People in the past are similar to us and many of them probably think the same way about certain ideas. The situations in history would most likely occur in the future, therefore if we've read history and actually learned from it, we would be more prepared to face the disaster that may occur.
