On Sunday, there's this show that comes on the Discovery Channel about controlling the weather. And, it brought an interesting question to mind. Do you think that humans should control the weather or do you think that controlling it could have catastrophic effects? Do you think that perhaps preventing things such as Katrina would be a good thing or do you think that we should just not touch the weather at all and allow nature to take its toll?
Yea, i saw that commercial for that movie as well. I think by the looks of it, some crazy guy would sneak into the area and screwed up the weather killing a lot of people or something like that (didn't watch the movie). I think it's not good. Don't mess with Mother Nature and we shouldn't try to play God. I mean what would happen if changing a certain temperature alters the other temperature of another country? Nature is a catastrophic thing and if we screw around with it for a while, inexperienced people that come up for the job might make a small mistake which might put us in an ice age or something crazy like that.
Now, you can't base your whole argument upon if an evil genius is going to make a death ray and extort the UN. You could say the same about nuclear weapons, or anything else. I think if we could control the weather, we should divert hurricanes and such, and that should be the only purpose for it. It should only be used if a certain weather scenario it is a real danger to people.

What if a certain country decided to use this weather device for war advantages? For example, some countries fight better in cold and snowy weather; for example, the Russians. What if a nation decided to use the weather to stir up hurricanes and tornadoes to their enemies, therefore their enemies use the same device to counter it and make it so that hurricanes and tornadoes could be used on the other country? It definitely has the potential of being a deadly weapon. If it gets into the wrong hands, imagine the disaster and chaos it could cause for the innocent civilians. Could this truly benefit us or will it hurt us severely?
