Which one do you prefer and why? I personally like WoW because it's just real cool. There are so many things to do and its like nonstop.
I play World Of Warcraft, but have also tried other games such as Vanguard. While Vanguard has many more interesting features, it lacked in depth as well as substance. I found myself working hours on end to level up once in crafting. While in WoW you can follow in-depth quests. Character controls in WoW also beat out Vanguard by far.
Give me a proper RPG any day of the week. I've tried the WoW crack at the behest of my neighbour, and quite frankly, I was bored as hell after a few weeks. It's so damn repetitive and unrewarding. I found that I played because I was bored, but that I was having less fun grinding away in WoW than I was sitting around browsing stuff.

Kind of looking forward to Age of Conan though, if only for the setting.
I played WoW for a little bit over a month, and got tired of it. The whole thing is just too cartoonish for me. I agree with the good doctor above me, it is repetitive and unrewarding. The game wasn't fun for me unless my real life friends were online, which was rare. I guess in general, I prefer modern games.

However, I don't really have much to compare WoW with. The only other MMO I've played is Star Wars Galaxies, and that game ruled for me because my friends and I would play quite often. I guess a big factor for MMO's is that you need to be in a community of players that you like and enjoy playing with. Grinding alone just doesn't cut it.
I like Guild Wars because you don't have to pay to play. But I don't have very much time to play very often. I like the Sims 2 the most though...
I was an addict to DAoC. I played a lot of MMORPGs but DAoC for some reason hooked me like no other.

If I added up all the days I sat in front of my computer playing that game...Fight
I used to play mmorpgs before not now though. WoW is nice but i started playing it when i was sick of playing right click games. Although my friends find it addicting i don't.
Gaaaahhhhh...it's all I can do to jog two miles a day and find the BowFlex every day. The closest I get to gaming is playing Mahjongg.
Not much eye-hand coordination here LOL!
