don't have either of them, but i would definetely go for the 360.
It has nothing to do with the PS3. I mean, if you said Wii or 360, I would still choose 360. I am against any type of games that makes me look like a little kid when i play it (Wii, DS, PS3, etc.)

Without a doubt, Xbox 360. Simply because of the fact that, well, most PS3 games either suck, or they're also available for Xbox. All the new games shown off at E3 just didn't interest me. The only ones that look good for Playstation are as follows:
GTA IV (Also available for 360)
Assassin's Creed (Also available for 360)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (The only reason I'd want a PS3.)
I mean, it sure as hell would be nice to have a playstation, but I'm not going to spend THAT much money for it. Price cut, my [censored].
Manix163: I understand what you mean by Wii and DS, but how does the PS3 make you look like a little kid? The sixaxis controller?

I'm a sims 2 kind of person. That's about it. And I only play it on the PC and that's because it's the only way to play the sims. Sometimes I play the ps2 or the gamecube. But I'm not going to waste any more money on gaming systems... at least, until I find of when Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out, if it does. I'm bad and have to play easy kid games... I don't have to kill anyone in a video game(that's why I have sims)

Its hard to say as of now.
I would think that, at the end of the day, both of them would end up as a tie. The 360 is good, yeah, but it had a year launch to actually get some games out. It took a years for Gears of War and Halo 3 to come out. Not to mention, I think that the PS3 gets too much hate. Sure, it has no games, but the 360 didn't have much either when it first released. Perfect Dark Zero? LOL. What a shitload of crap.
As far as console wars is concerned, Sony is definitely not going to dominate the market like they did last generation. Its going to be fairly balanced right now since Microsoft is hard at work trying to reach out to its consumers whether they are kids or adults.
But if you, as a person, has to choose between either of these, it really depends on what you prefer. If you like FPS, you'd go with the 360. If you like Japanese RPGs, Super Robots, Anime and Blu-ray, you'd go with the PS3.
Overall though, I'm leaning towards the PS3. Even though I own a 360 already, I'm planning on buying a PS3 in the near future. Its rumored that Sony is going to make an announcement that its going down in price to 399.99, which is pretty good considering that its THE cheapest blu-ray player out right now.
