I have to argue with you David. Hillary isn't a hipocrate. So she wanted to save her marrage? What is wrong with that? So he cheated, he was still a very good president. Morals don't seem to count for much in politics.

I was very impressed with both of these canidates watching them debate a few weeks ago. I think that, either one would help this country out far more then any of the republicans have in the last 8 years. After all, I live in Montana, a red state and we voted out nearly all of our republican elected officals that hang out on capital hill. Including Conrad Burns.

Marriage? Right! Yeah, Hillary and Bill have a great marriage! Not!

I’m betting that they hardly even see each other anymore. Outside of public functions, anyway. Their marriage was dead a long time ago I’d state my life on that.

The thing about marriage and family is that it is political gold. It makes people look respectable and honest and nice. It’s great PR. Hell maybe for Senator Clinton it was a good thing. Staying in the marriage after all that makes her look committed. 20 points for Hillary! Point: She’s playing politics!

You want to talk about the Republicans? That’s in the past, now. How long has it been since the election that gave the Democrats majority control over the House and the Senate? They still sit around with their thumbs in their butts and say “Bush is a horrible President!”

Hasn’t that already been proven? The Democrats will use Bush and Iraq as long as they can to make themselves look better. They say they want out of Iraq, and I’d agree that a lot that do, if not all would be sincere. But also, they can’t help but love the political points they are gaining with the war dragging on, just by being against it.

If it looks so good for them to be married still then why is it that people don't want to vote for her because she is still married to him? She is getting attacked for staying with him. But you know that had she left him people would have criticized her for not trying to save her marriage and stick it out. There is no grounds to stand on when you say that their marriage is dead. From all accounts they aren't having problems now. Political or not, if there wasn't more to their relationship they would have gotten a divorce. She would have been both criticized and congratulated by some group or another either way. It was a loose loose situation, and still is for her.

And for the Democrats not doing anything, Bush has pretty much gotten in the way of everything they try. They could try harder, granted, and they aren't. Any of the three branches of the government can fight more and be on top, and so far the executive branch is it because neither the house nor the senate have pushed for anything.
I would prefer Obama because I see this

Obama = change of whatever pit we're in
Clinton = someone who became a political dummy because of her advisers tell her what to do...

I think Clinton is very capable, but she needs to be herself, and if Clinton becomes president, she should ask Obama to be her running mate because I'm not so sure that Clinton can change things, she just doesn't look like a revolutionary.
This just in: Hillary says the we should prepare to "fight the new war"... WHAT????

She's right - If we're going to be there doing things, we need to do it the right way, not the wrong way. Our methods in the past have been entirely too screwed up. Now, we may be able to rectify the mess ups and perhaps get out of there sooner. We are doing alright in Afghanistan, perhaps we can do the same in Iraq.
The Democrats were elected into Congress on a "bring the troops home" platform... what is the "right way" for the war to be fought, in her mindset? She gives no hint as to what it is... and she knows better not to. Why? Because if she begins overstepping her bounds by giving military strategy, which she knows nothing about, people will catch her in the lie. Yet, if she says just the right amount, to bring moderates to get side, people will back her non-existent "new war" strategy... the Taliban is resurging in Afghanistan because of the movement of troops and equipment to Iraq!
The Taliban is not gaining any front. The United States is still training the soldiers and they are still fighting off the Taliban. Sure, they are trying to come back, but it's a war that they won't win. The Americans are still there, the Afghani army is being built and it is intended (even by the officers there) that they will be up to full strength in the next few years. You have to crawl before you can walk, one officer said. (I read a Time Magazine article about it.)
We'll have to see.
for me i really don't know i agree that Obama is to young and dosen't have the experince he needs to do the job right. and if Hillary wins as president we all know her husband as been president before so she will be asking his advice on alot of things we are already headed for a depression again all because of the war which involves oil, over seas trading , etc its like a cycle one effects the other we need some in there thats going to get us out of this and our childern have a better future
