I saw it the day before the Oscars and was a little surprised at all the accolades, I liked it fine and will see it again, but sometimes what qualifies as the best of the best by Hollywood sometimes puzzles me.
I love the Coen's and I think that because it was their film had something to do with it.

It's the difference between going to see a movie written by Stephen King or by Woody Allen. The Coen brothers have a unique style that some people don't get but for those that understand the nuances the movie was spectacular. It was like Clint Eastwoods "Unforgiven" where it's a culmination of years of work that brings together one masterpiece.

This was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. I love the Cohen brothers. The Spanish actor playing the villain was one of the most evil characters I've seen in a while.

Everyone bitches about the ending. I thought the ending was powerful. I loved it and wouldn't change the ending for the world. You have to listen to what TLJ is saying about the dream and his father. It translates perfectly to the movie.

I hate typical hollywood endings where the good guy kills the bad guy and rides off into the sunset. This was a very powerful ending.
