G'day,
I'm a 56 y/o Australian, last April I married a loverly lady from Florida, hence my growing interest in American Politics and the USA in general.
I was in the US for 3 months and I must say, Americans are really friendly people, I'm sorry to say my opinion of Americans was purely based on your MSM, American corporations, Hollywood, and your current administration. I don't believe any are a true reflection of Americans.
I don't follow any particular political party's theology, but some say I lean a little on the liberal side.
I hope in my own small way I can contribute to this forum and look forward to a few lively debates.

Nice first post. And yes...Americans are generally viewed not by who we are but by the media that supposedly represents us.
