It's been rumored for a few days that Ron Paul may decide to drop out of the race. I am hoping he stays in basically to help spread his wonderful constitutional message. However him staying in may hurt the GOP party candidate, specifically John McCain.
Do you think he should drop out and if so...why?
Drop out? Of the Republican primary? He lost. He doesn't have the option of dropping out because there's no longer anything to drop out OF. Its over. It would be like Kerry continuing his 2004 presidential campaign.
I think Ron Paul is going to hang in there until the bitter end. With Nader in the picture now, I don't know if Ron Paul will try to run as an Independent or maybe Libertarian. I would much rather see Ron Paul run a third-party than Ralph Nader. That man needs to drop out and give up, in my opinion. Judging from the support for Ron Paul just here in my community, I think he just might make it.
I don't know, though. I like Paul a heck of a lot more than Nader.

Drocket I was speaking about the overall election.
Well, technically, he never even entered the presidential election, so dropping out isn't really an option there either. I think I'd like to see him run, as I agree that he'd be a useful force in the race, and probably push a number of issues to the fore. At the same time, we'd have to deal with Ron Paulites celebrating victory whenever there's a poll showing him at 6%, and dealing with that sort of insanity/delusion gets rather tiring...
