CNN's research poll shows that right now...74% of Americans believe we are in a recession. We probably are but at the same time I wonder how many Americans understand what a recession is.

Also it's not abnormal for a strong economy to see setbacks after large abnormal gains. This economy is still quite strong and recession does not mean depression. It's a few quarters of pullbacks...most of it related to housing which is just ONE sector of the economy.
