First off, let me just say that I do truly think that you are a hero even though I don't support the Iraq war. I think that you and everyone else who has gone to fight in that war is a hero, so I do not wish to offend you in anyway. I only want to try to explain that thinking. I am one of those people that does support you and the other soldiers, but not the war. I honestly don't know what is going on over there, and if it is the right thing to be continuing to do today. But the reason I dislike the war is because I still believe that we were lied to by the Bush administration. I don't believe the reason they gave us for going to war was the real reason. Does that necessarily mean that this war isn't the right thing to be doing? No. Perhaps the Bush administration had very good reasons, but they thought the general public wouldn't agree. I have no way of knowing the truth behind this. I can understand how you can think of it as an oxymoron. But I feel like I support all of you, and I think most highly of all of you, but I think that everyone's service is being used unfairly by the government. I really hope that I'm wrong.
Hussein had WMD's. Je had used them in the past. I feel he moved them out as a stategic move to make the liberation of Iraq look like we were out for blood. When I was one of the first one's into Iraq and met organized enemy resistance, was I out for blood? Yes I was. Every round my assault rifle fired meant something. In my mind every round I fired was from someone who is grieving the loss of a lost one from 9/11. It was about doing what was right, doing what we should have done in the Gulf War and take Saddam out.

We reacted to an attack. Now comes the tough part with Iran. Do we be proactive and attack them before they have a chance to enrich uranium and launch it from a Shahab-3 missile with multiple warheads that will individually attack targets from Israel to possible London? Or do we take the threat out preemptive.
It doesn't matter if he had WMDs or not. He didn't, by the way. We have no business being the world police. Afghanistan, yes. The terrorists of 9/11 were Saudis, not Iraqis. Trained in Afghanistan under Osama Bin Laden.
And where the hell is he? Hello?
We need to stop poking our noses in on other countries and spending billions of dollars when we cannot even fix our own problems!
We need to let Iran alone, and focus on our problems here.
What the hell kind of example are we setting for democracy? Ooooooo yeah, have a democratic government, but please don't feed your own hungry, please don't help out your own poor, and for God's sakes make people pay out the [censored] for health insurance.
Yup, that's democracy for ya.

Hussein had WMD's. History proves this. Bin Ladin is in Pakistan, if I had to guess, I would say South Waziristan.
Tell me, please, where were these WMDs and how did these so-called WMDs threaten us?
Thank you.

I am continually amused by people who will tell a soldier "I support you!" (but I will do whatever I can to undermine your mission!) Dizzy
I am from Australia so my views are very different i guess. But i was lead to believe from the start that yes Saddam did have WMD that were supplied by the US during the war against iran.
I was also lead to believe he got rid of most if not all when the Kuwait thing was going on and the aftermath.
I was also lead to believe the invasion of Iraq was simply for a future pipeline they (US) intent to own.
I was also lead to believe that Iran was always going to be the next the US invade.

But a question now. Is it true that all the Jews left the twin towers before they were attacked? A whole floor i believe.
I was lead to believe that the bush admin was even told by them that it was going to happen.
Did anyone else see bush as he was talking to kids as the news was told to him. I think it was like 12 min later he actually did something about it which i find very odd.
And also is it true that one of the first planes to be freed for air travel during the attack on US was actually the bin laden family?
Heh.

I suppose we should all thank the Bush Administration for this mess, right?

For the Iraq mess. Yes.. And for the future mess with Iran yes.
IMHO
I dearly hope that the next U.S. president (whether it be John McCain or Barack Obama) has the ability to bring U.S. foreign relations back up. If they aren't, I fear we will have to join a few more wars before the Bush Administration's 'mess' is cleaned up.
