Hello everyone.
How's it going lab? Looks like you got a good start on your new forum.
Some of you may know me from DF also, or PoFo either one. I have been active on various political discussion boards since about 2001/2002 I guess. Once went by the handle wonder cow. Killed that name off last year because, I dunno, I just felt like it. Since then, been going by 'dgun'.
I'm 38, male, married with 3 kids, from NE Alabama.
I typically support Democrats, however:
I support limited government
Support free markets with limited regulation
Strongly side with individual rights and individualism
I believe we have to defend the constitution, regardless of party loyalties.
However,
I do support some limited social spending
I strongly support PUBLIC education
I have some protectionist tendencies
Like I said, I support Dems usually. However, I don't particularly care for the party. I don't think there is that big of a difference between the two parties, however the religious demagoguery employed by Republicans here in Alabama tips me toward the Dems. That and issues with Public Education.
Anyway, I hope to contribute occasionally and look forward to insightful discussions.
