Don't kid yourself...In spite of the words the Clintons are using to pretend to support Obama...they want McCain to win in November.

Hillary wants to be President. Bill wants to be First Predator. If Obama wins that means one of two things will happen in 2012. Either Obama will screw up royally (my prediction)...or, he will do well..in either case, he will ether be ousted by a Republican challenger in 12...or re-elected. That puts any chance of POTUS at the least, 12 years away for the Clintons..and trust me...that, they don't want.

She wanted to be on the 08 ticket, and the thought of waiting until she's in her 70s to run again is not acceptable. She wants McCain to win...with a Democrat congress that will thwart any chance of meaningful governance on his part...and she wants to be the nominee in 2012.

Here's what she had to say about McCain's VP choice: “We should all be proud of Governor Sarah Palin's historic nomination, and I congratulate her and Senator McCain," (Hardly an enthusiastic party line statement!) LOL!
No way.

You can bet deals have already been made. The only question is which cabinet position will Hillary take? Secretary of State, maybe?
I absolutely believe she wants McCain to win. If he does she's a lock next election for the libbie ticket. She can't run if Hussein Obama is the POTUS (which will never happen).
I don't think that Hillary wants McCain to win after this big show she put on in Denver. Her primary motivation and Bill's primary motivation are to protect the legacy. An Obama win wouldn't hurt that legacy, but an Obama loss could. Gore didn't have Clinton out on the trail with him during the 2000 election because it was too much. Kerry didn't have much help from Clinton. If Obama has the Clintons showing as much love as they did Tuesday and Wednesday night, the Clintons will suffer a loss if Obama loses. It will tarnish the Clinton brand even further. No, they want Obama to win, the just don't want him to survive politically to be re-elected.
I saw HRC's speech to be tepid and lackluster.
She mouthed some words but in no way convinced me that she supports him.
She was supporting her party, not Obama.
I agree...Hillary NEEDS Obama to lose. She has a shot in 4 years with an "I told you so" campaign to get the nomination.

I am sure deals have been made but I can't see Hillary accepting a cabinet position. A NY senator is still a strong place to be and she could be the majority leader instead of Reid one day. He is getting old and hasn't imho done that great of a job. He is 68 and in 2 years could possibly retire..maybe sooner. That's my guess.

100% that the Clintons want a legacy and it won't occur if they need to wait 8-12 years. I am not sure if Chelsea will get into the game but certainly she will be old enough by then to start a political career.

Of course she does. If Obama wins she can't run for POTUS until at least 2016.
Watch for her to muck stuff up for Obama.
It's already happening and look who has him in hot water now, another female, Palin.
