I am an avid fan of House. I love the show. Back when it was in its first season, the big question that people would ask is, "would you want a doctor like House?" The debate that appeared was: Would you rather have a nice doctor that had a good bed side manner but wasn't the best doctor or would you rather have a mean doctor who is an incredible jerk and makes you feel crappy, but really knows what he is doing? Which would you prefer?
What the [censored] kind of question is this?
Would I rather be made to feel very comfortable for a day or two, but end up with scissors in my stomach?
Or would I rather be treated by a douche bag and feel incredible afterwards?

The question ACTUALLY has some merit to it. I know it appears like one of those really stupid questions, but doctors have been sued because of their bedside manner. And there are some people that want to feel 'happy' as their dying rather than feel 'angry' as their doctor tries to do whatever they take.
A bad doctor with good beside manner is less likely to get sued then a good doctor with poor beside manner. I would have a doctor who knows what they are doing.
The mean doctor who knows what he's/she's doing. I don't care if he/she hurt me or spit on my face, but if he/she could bring me back to the way I was before, I'd take him/her.
