Today is December 7, 2009. 68 years ago Japan attacked and bombed Pearl Harbor. Let's never forget.

Never forget what, the fact that you lot provoked them into attacking you in order to get into the war, or the fact that you are still causing Luekimia in Japanese people to this day because of your atmoic bomb attacks on their cities, either one in my humble opinion isn't worth remembering if you're a yank.

You can remember or not- it makes little difference to this Yank. As a foreigner, I wouldn't expect you to remember didly squat.

No, you're right, I was born in the year 1991, and hence, do not remember it, I don't know it from personal experience.

What I do know though is that the British & Americans deliberately provoked the Japanese so that they (Americans) could get into the war.

Moreover, I also know, as stated that Japanese people are dying with Leukimia at 34 with rotten teeth, even to this day, because of what you done to them. Did they whine like the Americans did about their harbour? Or like the Jews did about the holocaust?

NO, they have gotten over it, even though it's still devastating them today. They are real men.

I would suggest very kindly, young man/woman, I shan't get into a pissing contest with an 18 year old snot nosed kid that most probably only knows what some liberal biased bull [censored] has endowed him/her with. It is correct to an extent that the Japs were provoked, mainly because FDR wanted America in the fight against the Sumbich Hitler. It worked, and whatever freedoms you enjoy today, is primarily because the USA kicked asses and took names in the Pacific and in Europe. Both the Krauts and the Japs did their damnest to kill my Dad, who fought the entire war as a sailor. I have little sympathy for the Japs that raped and pillaged China, committing the most horrid of atrocities. So as a little lady on another forum, a Japanese American living in Hawaii, BTW, says. 'Bite Me'.

My Grand-Dad fought the war as a soldier and was actually killed by Soviet soldiers on the Eastern Front, and attempted to be killed by British soldiers and American soldiers, so what? Really, since you were the ones who burned 200,000 people alive at Dresden, germany in WW2, mercilessly, I don't think you can complain that a couple of your men were killed.

This was China's problem to solve, if they'd come in screaming for help from America like the Jews had done at the end of WW2, then perhaps you'd have a reason to help them, but you don't.

The title of these forums is DEBATEful, I'm just debating on an issue which I have strong feelings about, how could I have f*cked a thread up by doing what the entire forum is aimed at people to do (DEBATE) in the said thread.

So because someone commits atrocities towards others, we shouldn't care? So we shouldn't have bothered to help prevent the spread of communism in Nam either? Or have helped with Berlin?

We provoked them, they CHOSE to attack, and that is why they don't complain, because they know THEY caused it.

If they ask for USA to help, then you should help them, but you poking your noses in when they didn't ask for it was unneccasary. In the East they have alot more honour and independance in such matters as national survival.

You didn't prevent anything, you were fighting a meaningless war just like you are now in Iraq and Afghanistan. Vietnam is a communist state to this day; you did bugger all.

When you're provoke somebody, it's pretty obvious you're going to get attacked in return. Japan didn't CHOSE to attack America, they had to.

They hardley mauled you until you were bleeding, it was just a relatively small scale attack (compared to what you done in return). And you would have done it to them had they not done it to you.

So either way, somebody's got to "Maul", and it looks like quite rightly, the Japs chose to do so first.

KDD, this is a memorial thread. Lets keep things on topic and civil. I can understand the hostility of the response you got and, well, you pretty much earned it. Enough said with regard to that.

I had family that was there and hope that we will never see such a time again.
