I thought it was funny and reminded me of the recent Robin Williams movie where he played a similar person with a talk show who runs for president. Was a pretty good movie.

I have yet to watch that movie, although it does sound rather appealing. Anyway, let's wait and see how the whole Colbert-president issue will turn out to be.
Well, it looks like Stephen Colbert wasn't able to get on the presidential ballot; he decided to go with the Democrats. Stephen Colbert stated that he would bid to get the ballot of South Carolina--his home state, although he was rejected by the state's Democratic Party.
I think his run for presidency is over now.
