Haiti and the 'Devli's Curse'

Not trying minimize the seriousness of the subject by any means, found this video on RNN and it interested me.
That is a load of crap. I'm sick of hearing they deserved this. This is wrong. People said the same thing about Katrina victims.
I hope the same thing happens to these jerks. Then let's hear about deserving it.
Jerks. Unkind, nasty, selfish, self-righteous, self-serving, holier-than-thou ****heads.
Society would be better off without this type of thinking.
These people are in a hell of a lot of trouble with death, dying and destruction all over the place.
If you can't help them, don't punch them while they're in trouble. Do the right thing and help, or shut up.
People are in trouble. Get it?
Hisses,
Pookie
Not sure if you watched the entire video but it pretty much gave counters to the theory of a cursed haiti. The complete garbage that spews from P.Roberts mouth was being echoed through (to some degree) most mainstream media. I was glad to see some news on the subject that went ahead and tried to clarify some misconceptions about haiti. Frankly if there is enough belief that "haiti is cursed" to be said on mainstream news there is a chance a fair amount of people may actually believe this. And that is why I posed the question in the first place. Sorry if it was taken wrong but I do not apologize for the content of my posts, and my question still stands.
Oh no, never believe anything was taken wrong. You have to understand I was voicing my opinion on this, you see?
Haiti is not cursed, no matter what anyone says. New Orleans wasn't cursed, either, and there are many other places which have seen disaster which I do not believe were cursed.
It is hard to put this idea of not being cursed into peoples' minds.
Stop going off on a tangent and getting panties in a wad and start doing something to help these people.
Give until you can't give any more. That is what we are doing.
Remember, you could be next.
Purrs,
Pookie
Understood there pookie. Also to clarify as I am new and didnt finnish my thought on the intial question, the question was posed in respect to haiti as a whole (since the 1860's ish when the USA recognized haiti as a nation unto itself), not just regarding the earthquake. I know I ommited that initially, by mistake.
