It's true that we definitely need to secure our borders and we definitely shouldn't just let anyone come and live here undocumented, but most illegal immigrants from places like Mexico don't have evil intentions. Most just want to have a better life, and those people should be given a chance to live here. What we need is to reform our immigration system and tighten security. I think that's what the democrats want to have happen.
Yes, let's just go with that. No more medicare. No more medicaid. Just private healthcare, and only the truly rich can afford to get sick. Then the poorer people working at the rich people's business get sick, but they don't go to the doctor because they can't. They die. The rich person loses employees. More people get sick and die. A case of, hell I don't know, tuberculosis hits the country, but no one goes into the doctor because they can't afford it. It spreads, and the rich people aren't immune to it either. They get sick, and in addition to being sick, they're losing money because they're losing profit from their business because a lot of their employees are getting sick.
Don't think that what happens to one person won't affect everything else. The loss of human life is a loss of resources.
It may be impossible for you to comprehend a person who isn't just looking out for themselves, but they do exist. Explain to me what the heck was up with Gandhi, or why there were white people in the Civil War trying to end slavery, or why we hear of people jumping in front of cars to push someone else out of the way.
You won't have that HDTV if all the poor people "die off" as you say they should. Who assembles and puts those TVs together? The poor.
Wait, I thought that people would never sacrifice themselves? That everyone just looks out for themselves? Sacrificing yourself is not looking out for yourself.
And anyway, what have the troops in Iraq achieved? Yes, we got rid of Saddam, that was great, but that was years ago. What are they achieving there now by staying?
