There is a lot of talk going on about how Fred Thompson is a good pick for the Republican candidacy. However, do you think that he would be a good pick? Do you think that Fred Thompson is the right man to fix the United States or do you think that the Republican party should put someone else in the candidacy to try and take control? Is Fred Thompson a good pick?
I'm personally voting for Fred Thompson. He makes clear his stances on various issues just in his annoucement video alone. he is articulated, driven, and very strong. I could go on about him.
From what I've seen in the various popular conservative blogs online, Fred is far more popular than big names like McCain and Guiliani.

Personally, I’d like to see Fred win the nomination. And I know that as a foreigner, that’s easy for me to say. But whatever.
My only concern is that Bush may have ruined the chances for any other socially right candidates that may hope to get the presidency (assuming they [any real social conservative people] are even nominated on the Republican ticket).
I mean you’ve got Rudy (God bless him, seems like a good guy) but he’s not a true Conservative, as I see it. And then you have Mitt. Well, the whole Mormon thing sunk him before he even started, sorry. Then there’s Ron Paul and others that have no chance in hell anyway.
Thompson-McCain 2008!
As much as it's main stream culture to "hate the war" and such, most people are smart enough to realize that we're in this for the long haul. Not just the war in Iraq, but the war on Islamofacsim as a whole. Democrats are too soft (see: Dhimmitude, Nancy Pelosi, etc), and they know we need to win this war. We can't just pull out of Iraq and things will be honkey dory.
I'm confident the Republicans have a solid chance.
Plus who wants to vote for Hillary "illegal-funds" Clinton?
I certainly think we are more at a risk of losing our democracy to the lobbyists and special interest groups in the Congress and in the presidential race than being killed by a terrorist attack, or becoming a "dhimmi in an Islamic sharia law state. And from the looks of things, it seems that more people want to kill us BECAUSE of our continued presence in Iraq, and meddling in the Middle East. After all, the Islamic Revolution in Iran did succeed because of our support for the dictatorial shah, correct? Anyhow, back to the topic. :)
I think that Rudy Ghouliani and Hillary Clinton would be a huge blow to the preservation of democracy and the adherance of the Constitution, personally. Until I hear something better, I'll place my vote with Ron Paul and the preservation of the Constitution and our rights and men on this earth. Slan.
