Do you think that Atheists should receive pay for religious holidays? They could simply treat it as another holiday and basically ignore the fact that it's a religious holiday although, they don't believe it. What do you think?
I think so, it would only be fair I think.
Yea, I mean, we can't have certain holidays affecting only certain people. Otherwise during Christmas, only the Christians could get off at work, and during other religious holidays, only they could go out. I think it is fair to let them have the same break like everybody else during the holidays too.
Yea I think that everyone should benefit from holidays because we can't just ostracize a group for not being Christian. We live in America and we should have the same benefits as everyone else.

And plus holidays give me time to go on Debateful.com and criticize people. :D
untill religious holidays are removed from society, then yes, they should get paid like everyone else. It is their choice of what they do on that holiday, likie everyone else. I am sure most people dont spend the whole day praying...
No, they should not. And why should they? If you have prayer in school, or, heaven forbid, the word God in the Pledge of Alligence, atheists scream the old and tired 'Don't force YOUR religion on ME.' Ok, fine, I won't force my religion on you by requiring you take a day off work. Go to the office instead.

Funny how atheists scream about separation of church and state and all that, but when it is convienent (in this case not going to work), they are all 'for' religion.

THANK YOU, kermit.

Waffletush, not giving atheists off too basically gives religious folks an unfair perk. That's a form of discrimination.
Well dang! I have to admit, I never thought about this.
The company I work for has certain holidays (Christian and the usual), and we get paid extra for working those days. But one thing we all do, is that the Christians (me included) work for our Jewish folks on their holy days so they can have those days off, and these wonderful Jewish folks work for us on Christmas and Easter so that we can have days off.
I feel like atheists are on their own. They can accept holiday pay and all that and just work.
If they don't have holidays, then it's just another day to them, right?

Not really, no one is being forced to take the day off. They are celebrating their (non) religious views by staying in the office.

The better question to be posed is, should self-avowed atheists be given floating holidays in lieu of company apporved religious holidays. That way the atheists would still get the same amout of holidays as everyone else. But that would be too easy.

Exactly.

It is funny though that atheists want to use religion when it benefits them, then sue when it does not. You cannot have it both ways.

Celebrate your non-religion by staying in the office.
