It's on.
Looks like the liberal smear campaign using their proxies has begun. Youtube is completely filled with videos attacking McCain. Some are edited poorly many use videos and statements out of context.

It's just a shame. The latest is seeing "John Bush McCain" being typed everywhere. I thought the "Barack Hussein Obama" was unfair and Hussein actually is his real middle name. If the liberals keep this up I believe America will vote for McCain. There is a reason Bush won 2 terms. It's because the venom used by the hard left is so vile it turns away centrist voters.

McCain is a good man. A good politician. If they want to herald Obama they should do that. But every stab they take at McCain will only embolden his supporters.

Looks like the ugliness has begun. Welcome to Silly Season as one great man said.

Youtube is full of videos attacking everybody. There are videos attacking Obama on there as well, though I would have no problem believing that there are more videos against McCain. Young people are the ones who are on youtube the most, and young people are more often Democrats than Republicans.

Why? That's silly. You should vote for McCain because you like his political views, not because of petty mud-slinging. I hope that most Americans would know that.

Or it's because the U.S. doesn't go by the popular vote as it should. Or because people are stupid enough to jump on the propaganda bandwagon of "fight the terrorists -- support the troops -- we're all going to die if we don't finish Mission Iraq!"
You think that the hard right doesn't partake in mud-slinging?

And it's only going to get worse.... I can't believe we have five months left until November.

Welcome to American politics! I see you're new here, allow me to be your tour guide.... As you've seen, if you look to your right, you'll see freshly slung mud dripping from McCain's new suit, courtesy of the democrats; and if you look to your left, you'll also see Obama soaked in a similar substance, courtesy of the GOP...... These 2 parties, alongside others have engaged in similar escapades for AGES...

Labrocca Wrote:If the liberals keep this up I believe America will vote for McCain.

That would be intelligent. Forget about competency to lead the nation. Screw that, right? All that matters in this race now, is that the democrats are saying mean things about McCain, and that the republicans are talking trash about Obama. Which party is being the most obnoxious is definitely the #1 factor here. Real mature.

Yes..... and such stupidity can be described in two words. These may be hard to take in..... are you ready? Brace yourself..... they are:

ELECTORAL COLLEGE

Erm..... since this isn't relevant to the current conversation, I'll keep my mouth shut about this... =P

As Spirit said, the fun's only just getting started.

Electoral College? What's that? Oh you think we should ditch it since you "think" that Bush didn't win the popular vote.

You're only 1/2 right. Bush beat Kerry...Bush beat Kerry when we were in a war. Bush won the popular vote against Kerry. Bush ain't running McCain is. The attempt by the right to view McCain as a Bush 3rd time is just hilarious. My belief is that the left makes such ludicrious outrageous claims that it only makes sensible people think twice about voting into power a party that's into make-believe.

I am not sure how many centrists will forget 2006 elections where the Dems gained power in Congress and Senate and have not kept their promises.

I am seriously thinking about voting for Obama but I have to see him really step out of the box politically. If he gets caught up in the trappings of modern politics I won't play. I already know McCain can do the right thing even if his own party disagrees. I agree with McCain on immigration and he has a record to back that up. I agree with McCain on the war and he has a record to back that up. I agree with him on a lot of issues. His only weakness is economics but whenever you expect the government to bail you out...you are only weakening the economy.

The right is calling Obama Carter's second term and I think they could be right........ pun intended.

RE: It's on.
If you want to claim someone's policies are similar to another president I don't have issue with that. However back up your claims with FACTS.

Yes, Bush beat Kerry by popular vote, but who's to say he would have run in 2004 if he wasn't running for re-election instead? I don't believe he would have won the 2004 election if he wasn't elected in 2000. Once he started the Iraq war, it was a guarantee he would win re-election. Presidents running during wartime have always been re-elected, because the propaganda begins of "this war is the right thing, this president is keeping us safe, and if you don't vote for this president and if you don't support the war, you are un-American." That's the way it is. Small-minded people buy into this message, and they slap a yellow ribbon bumper sticker on their car that says "support the troops", an American flag bumper sticker, and a bumper sticker supporting the re-election of the president who got them in the war. To me, this is why Bush won re-election, and he never would have won the 2004 elections if he hadn't started the Iraq war.

I think the reason people compare McCain to Bush and come up with uncreative names like "John Bush McCain" because McCain supports the Iraq war. He wants to stay in Iraq until "the job is done", whatever that means. Of course, he also agrees with Bush on other issues, but I think that is the biggest one. For that reason, people who don't support McCain think that he will be just more of the same. While I agree that McCain and Bush are different people, I think that they are too much the same.
